Bridges & Scrapers: See Also: Bridges & Scrapers Case Studies
A large and growing proportion of all new bridges and scrapers in the Water Treatment
industry are designed using Cellular Beams.
Large spanning bridge construction over 15m is much more cost effective using Cellular
Beams rather than labour-intensive lattice construction or heavy standard rolled
sections.
Cellular Beam bridges give increased values for deflection against weight, and are
more aesthetically pleasing than a plain beam, channel or lattice.
Cellular Beams have a reduced area for wind loads, resulting in less force required
to rotate the bridge and less forces applied to central support tripods.
Cabling and greasing access can be fitted through cells.
Beam depths in 1mm increments are possible, giving the designer more design flexibility
over standard rolled beams.
