Leeds-based ASD Metal Services, the largest independent metals stockholder and distributor in the UK, has acquired Westok Limited.
Westok will continue to be run by its long-standing management team, of Andy Holmes, Mike Hawes, and Ashley Earnshaw.
Managing Director Andy Holmes said: “ASD provides Westok with the ideal platform for future growth. There is a tremendous synergy between the two companies. We share the same customers and it links us to a guaranteed source of steel.”

ASD Metal Services comprises 41 business units operating across 29 sites across the UK. It is part of the international group Klöckner & Co AG, the largest independent producer and distributor of steel and metal products in the European and North American markets combined, with 2006 Sales of approximately €5.5 billion and around 10,000 employees.
